MidwiferyPatient PopulationMidwives care for low-risk, uncomplicated term labor cases and normal newborns. Midwives provide total care/delivery to low-risk, uncomplicated patients and their newborns. When midwife patients are unavailable, the MW will function in the role of an obstetrical L&D nurse and will not do deliveries. Number of Beds7 L&D, 7 assessment room, 4 recovery room beds and 2 OR's. Occupancy Rate100 % - 7,500 delivers per year. Midwives expected to delivery 30 % of the normal spontaneous vertex deliveries. Hours of Operation24 hours / 7 days week - 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights. Staff Categories
Primary Patient Diagnoses / ConditionsMidwives care for low-risk, uncomplicated term pregnancies for labor and spontaneous vertex delivery and the newborn.
