Primary Patient Diagnosis/Conditions
- Antepartum patients with a high risk category such as APH, PROM, Preterm labor, Placenta Praevia, PIH, HELLP syndrome, Multiple gestation, Diabetes
- Management of the intrapartum patient with or without pre-existing medical conditions
- Management of the high-risk patients intrapartum
- Postpartum assessment and management prior to transfer to OB/Gyn unit

- Assessment and management of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stage of labor
- CTG monitoring and interpretation
- Management and stabilization of Pre-term labor
- Management and stabilization of moderate-severe PIH. IV MgSO4 and Hydralazine administration
- Management and stabilization of APH and PPH
- IV cannulation and management
- Induction/Augmentation-of-labor. IV syntocinon
- Administration
- Normal vaginal deliveries, Forceps deliveries, and Ventouse
- Extraction, Epidural, Application of fetal scalp electrode, Cord blood PH
- Initial assessment and care of the neonate
- Early initiation of breastfeeding
- Pre and postoperative care of normal and high-risk patients following caesarean sections
- Elective and Emergency caesarean sections
- D&C for retained placenta
- Situation of clinical pathway(s) NSV, C/S or Newborn
- Nursing Care Delivery System
- Primary patient care /Team nursing
